Looks very nice and panel gap and trim line up was very good. I don’t get the hat it looks really good now they just need to get the price down to $35,000.
Obligatory custom license plate.

My coworker has one (obviously with a personalized plate) and he can’t quit crowing about it. Loves to talk about the tax rebate he got and how it has autopilot. It’s white. And dear god is it ugly.
I think the tech is cool and I am glad he is happy with it. He’s a nice guy who works hard, etc. But man, to my eye, it is a really bad looking car.

It looks like a BMW 3 series from the late 90’s.

I saw one of these earlier today:
No sr20 because driving.
Also, model 3's are everywhere here now. Starting to grow on me, but still not wow'd.

I once worked with a customer who spent 5% of the value on his home remodeling *three* little reach-in closets. I can tell you those closets didn’t even add 2% in value to that home. He had bought a new Colorado (2015 at the time) and attempted to explain to me how buying new trucks was the only thing that made sense because of the rebates (or whatever GM was offering). It was a loaded Colorado, I believe the MSRP was over $35k. That truck in three years has lost about $17,000 in value, or HALF. So basically, there are some people out there that are tragically drawn to “savings,” at the costs of maybe 20 grand they did not need to spend in the first place. He was fishing so hard for me to tell him what a good deal he got, how smart he was. His story was so tragic, that years later, he became a noun for being bad with money at the office.

That plate make me want to hit it with an aluminum bat.
I see half a dozen of these a day now, Seattle area.

What's on the roof of that thing? Hard to tell on my phone.

I’ve seen 2 in far northern Chicago suburbs. Didn’t think they were even around here yet. I actually have a reservation but am waiting until the $35k version comes out.

That’s funny—I think it’s quite elegant, if generic, especially when there are so many considerably uglier cars out there today:
I suppose to each their own. IMO it does a great job of translating the Model S into a smaller size and I love the subtle Renault Caravelle nod in the front; my only qualm is that it should have been a hatchback, but I understand the trade-off for the pano roof. I have my own set of issues with the 3 (the garbage infotainment, the shitty build quality, the high price) but its looks are the least of my concerns.

It looks absolutely nothing like any BMW that has ever been made.

I agree that there are a bunch of ugly cars out there, but that does not make the Tesla Model 3 good looking. I t makes it another ugly car.

I don’t think it looks ugly, but yeah, there’s no way it looks like a BMW.

I don’t understand the hate for personalized plates. Every jalopy wants a special car

It’s not personalized plate it’s the message.
If I could, I’d have plated that say “PIZDETS”, but the censors won’t allow it.
